Carrot Chips Recipe

If you find yourself constantly craving chips but somehow want to live a little bit healthier: this is the recipe for you!

All you need:

4-5 medium carrots

1 Tablespoon of coconut oil

Oregano, Marjoram, Ginger powder, Salt, Pepper and Chili ( powder works too)

Step 1: 

Preheat the oven ( 200-250°C ) 

If you want your chips to be crispy I recommend you not to peel your carrots; just wash them really good and make sure there is no dirt left.

Step 2:

After washing your carrots, you can now use either a french fry cutter or a normal knife to cut them in half.

TIP: make sure you don’t cut the ends too thin/small; you don’t want your ends to be burned.

TIP: you want your carrots to be bigger than normal french fries because they’ll shrink in the oven.

Step 3:

Add your “fries” into a mixing bowl, where you can now add some coconut oil, salt, pepper, ginger powder, chili, oregano and  marjoram.

TIP: You can add egg substitutes just to make the seasoning really stick.

Step 4:

Prepare some parchment paper along with some coconut oil spray or butter spray.

After spraying your “pan” / paper add the carrots but make sure they are not touching, otherwise they’ll be stuck together and you won’t get that crispy finish.

30 minutes in the oven and voilà: crispy carrot chips.
